Water Line Flushing
The GVMA will be conducting extensive water line flushing the week of April 4 throughout the entire Yearound system. In addition, in the same time frame we will be draining, cleaning, and refilling the two water storage tanks on the Yearound system. You may experience dirty water and fluctuating pressure levels during this process. This flushing and cleaning should help lessen the sediment buildup in the system and improve water quality.
Manganese Levels
As we mentioned in last month’s billing, we have consulted with PA Rural Water Association regarding the manganese levels in Yearound water. We have made changes and upgrades to the greensand filter injection system to improve its efficiency in removing manganese. After the line flushing and tank cleaning mentioned above we will be doing additional testing to determine if the changes we have made are reducing the manganese levels. We will keep you informed as to the results of that testing.

Automatic Payments
If you would like to eliminate the hassle of mailing a check for your water and sewer payment each month, just log on to our web site, www.gvma.pa.us, and select “sign up for automatic payments” in our “online services” menu. You may have your monthly payment debited from your checking or savings account or charged to your credit card. The payment will be automatically debited or charged on the 15th of each month, so you will be guaranteed to never have late fees added to your account. Payments debited from a savings or checking account receive a 2% discount. If you do not have internet access just call our office and Lisa will assist you in setting up your automatic payment. Your automatic debit will begin with the next month’s billing.
