Water Line Flushing
The GVMA conducted extensive water line flushing the week of April 4 throughout the entire Yearound system. During the next two weeks we drained and cleaned the two water storage tanks serving Yearound residents. Some modifications were made to the small storage tank to help ensure that no sediment from the bottom of the tank enters the outlet lines.
Manganese Levels
We are continuing to monitor Manganese levels in the system. The line flushing and tank cleaning has not produced an appreciable decrease in the Manganese levels. We are also planning to recharge the green sand filter system to increase its efficiency in removing the Manganese. We will continue to work with PA Rural Water Association to get the manganese levels to recommended levels. We also have iron out available at the authority office. This product will help remove Manganese stains from your fixtures and dishes.

Automatic Payments
If you would like to eliminate the hassle of mailing a check for your water and sewer payment each month, just log on to our web site, www.gvma.pa.us, and select “Sign Up for Automatic Payments” in our “Online Services” drop down menu. You may have your monthly payment debited from your checking or savings account or charged to your credit card. The payment will be automatically debited on the 15th of each month, so you will be guaranteed to never have late fees added to your account. Payments debited from a savings or checking account receive a 2% discount. If you do not have internet access just call our office and Lisa will assist you in setting up your automatic payment.
