Update – Water Conservation Efforts

July 15, 2011

Thanks to your efforts, water consumption in the Yearound has dropped 30,000 – 40,000 gallons/day. Even with the reduced pumping capacity this has allowed our water tanks to fill to near normal levels. Having the tanks as full as possible is important for several reasons. First, the increased height of water in the tanks provides better pressure to residents in the higher elevation areas of the Yearound. Second, it provides water in reserve in the event of a major leak, pump breakdown, or other serious problem with the water system. Lastly, and most importantly, it provides a large reservoir of water in the event of a structure fire in the Yearound development. We thank you for your efforts over the past week and ask that you continue to conserve water in any way possible. The new pump has been ordered and shipped. We are hoping that it will arrive in time to have it installed by the end of next week. We will continue to keep you updated as we have more information.
