At its meeting on July 26, 2011 the Glendale Valley Municipal Authority approved the apparent low bidders for 12 procurement and construction contracts. When completed, these contracts will provide water and sewerage service to the Beaver Valley and Fiske areas of White Township and sewerage service in the Flinton, Fallentimber, Van Ormer, Hollentown, Glasgow, and Blandburg areas of Reade Township. The contracts also include the connection of the water and sewer lines in the Beaver Valley area to the existing Glendale Yearound system. All awards at this point are pending review and approval by the authority’s engineer and solicitor and USDA-RD.
Construction on the contracts is expected to begin in September with a completion date 12 months following the beginning of construction.
